Today Crew Member Natassa?Blazaki teach us how to create faux woodgrain using products from Canvas Corp Brands. A knowledge good to have when participating in our April Challenge Woodgrain.

When working with new materials, I want to challenge myself and try to use them in the most unconventional way. That’;s how I came up with the idea of trying to create old and worn out wood surface by using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and Glimmer Glaze that are usually used to give a shiny look to a project. The challenge’;s theme inspired me so much, so I decided to make two different looks, a weathered wood and a barn wood. In the video I demonstrate the process on a couple of tags cut out of cardboard. Howeverretro cushion covers, I used the same techniques to make an art journal spread and a junk journal pocket page. I really hope you enjoy the video and give it a try. I’;m sure you’;re going to love it!
